Acupuncture Qualifications

I graduated from The Acupuncture Academy in Leamington Spa in 2015, where I was awarded their Professional Licentiate in Acupuncture.

Qualifications. five elements

My training over 3 years was extensive, covering all aspects of Chinese medical and acupuncture theory, with a focus on the Five Element approach. This means that I am able to consider your main health problem, as well as taking a more holistic approach to you as an individual.

I subsequently undertook further training, completing a Diploma in Acupuncture for gynaecology, fertility and obstetrics from the College of Integrated Chinese Medicine in Reading, in 2020. This is a particular field of interest for me, hence the further training.

My next training is to become a fully qualified Qi Gong instructor, with a view to be able to run Qi Gong classes as an adjunct to the treatments and lifestyle advice that I offer. Qi Gong is an ancient Chinese exercise and healing technique, which can be described as a moving meditation involving controlled breathing and movement exercises.

I am a member of the Association of Acupuncture Clinicians (formerly known as the British Acupuncture Association) and adhere to their Code of Safe Practice and Professional conduct. My clinic is licensed by Broxtowe Borough Council and I hold full medical malpractice and public/products liability insurance cover.

Reflexology Qualifications

I gained a Diploma in Reflexology at the Oxford School of Reflexology in 2008. I am a full member of the Association of Reflexologists.

My overall aim is to get to know you as a person and tailor the treatment to you as closely as possible. I also try to provide a wide range of lifestyle advice to support the healing process of the treatment.

Qi Gong Qualifications

I first became exposed to Qi Gong when I was undertaking my acupuncture training, but I really started to practise seriously during the 1st Covid Lockdown. I was familiar enough with Qi Gong to realise that it is extremely beneficial to the immune system, as well as being very helpful for calming the mind & managing stressful situations. Once I started practising regularly, I really came to love Qi Gong and decided to train to become a teacher, so that I could share this wonderful practice with others.

I undertook the HOLDEN QIGONG Teacher Training Program and am now a Holden QiGong Certified Teacher. As well as continuing my own practice, I also undertake plenty of Continuous Professional Development, learning new styles & applications on a regular basis.
