What's a Qi Gong session like?

In our practice, we tend to start with warm up and stretching exercises to activate our energy and release any that has become stuck within the body. Then we move into some gentle flows designed to circulate healthy Qi and calm the mind.
We often finish with a soothing meditation to embed the energetic benefits we have cultivated. Qi Gong is suitable for all ages and abilities. Whilst usually done in a standing position, it can also be done seated.
What is Qi Gong?

Qi Gong is an ancient Chinese practice that combines gentle movement, breath and awareness to support harmony, vitality & wellbeing.
"Qi" is often translated as life-force energy, or the animating power that moves through all living things.
Through slow flowing movements & stillness, Qi Gong helps the body and mind settle, restoring a sense of calm, balance & ease.
What does Qi Gong involve
- Breathing practices to calm & regulate the nervous system
- Simple exercises to release tension & restore vitality
- Gentle, flowing movements to encourage balance, circulation & ease within the body
- Standing postures to build strength, stability & grounding
- Visualisation, meditation & quiet awareness practices
Qi Gong can be adapted for all ages, abilities & levels of experience.
